Egg-in-a-hole is such a classic breakfast staple where you create a hole in the middle of bread and cook an egg directly in the hole. This is such an easy and creative breakfast idea to spice up eggs and toast.

- Sourdough bread
- Egg
- Butter
- Shredded cheese blend
- Bacon lardons
- Tomato
- Cilantro
- Lemon Juice
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Gochujang-bacon mayo
- Mayonaise
- Gochujang
- Bacon Fat
- Lemon Juice
- Cook bacon in oven at 400F until done. Chop up bacon into bits (lardons).
- Cut tomatoes and mix with cilantro, salt, pepper & lemon juice.
- Make gochujang mayo by combining leftover bacon fat, mayo, gochujang & lemon juice. Adjust ingredients to taste.
- Cut a hole in the center of the slice of bread.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat with butter. Place bread and crack egg straight into the center of the hole.
- Cook until egg sets at the bottom. Season with salt and pepper. Flip egg/bread. Add shredded cheese. Cook until egg is done.
- Garnish toast with gochujang mayo, bacon lardons, and tomato salad. Enjoy!
